Regards, SEA MVP Team November 16 White Hackers set up 24 hour Hackers Clubhouse!Together with 3 other enthusiasts hackers, Singapore MVP Justin Lee and his ‘hackers in crime’ created and founded the 24 hour Hacker Clubhouse called ‘Hackerspace SG’ – a place for white hackers to share ideas and brainstorm projects.
The brainchild of Hackerspace SG is being spearheaded by four people who hope the hacker community can get together to implement ideas or come up with projects, and perhaps commercialize them. The quartet came up with the idea of Hackerspace after reading about similar centres that have opened up around the world, including the United States, China and Japan. Unlike the stereotyped ‘black-hackers’ who are known only for carrying out illegal activities, like credit card fraud and creating malicious computer programs that wreak havoc, Justin Lee and his team is keen to raise the awareness of so-called ‘white hackers’ – someone who experiments and pushes the boundaries to create new things. It does not necessarily mean a cyber criminal. For more reading, click the full report here

Here is what some of our NEW EWS Apprentices has to say: “I got a reasonable response time for my concern as it involves the MSDN team where users can't download files from MSDN despite having "active" accounts. The good thing with this one is I not only got a response from the system but gave me steps needed to address the problem.” - ASP/ASP.NET John Patrick Oliveros
“ I am very passionate about windows , from kernel level to the user mode API, I keep dwelling into the processes, threads and their activity. I didn’t know that Microsoft support EWS for a long time , I understand the importance of EWS and how it will alert customers using Microsoft products and the engineers themselves in Microsoft about the issues. I am very much impressed with Microsoft Connect process” - Directory Services Sainath Sathya “I am blessed of an opportunity to share a tiny dot in the huge picture of SharePoint through the Early Warning Signal. A fulfilling boulevard that gives us a chance to advocate in the advancement of the products we are passionate with.”- SharePoint Services Elczar Pelarta Adame “Whenever, I ran into issues with microsoft products, I used to publish to them in my blog. So I think EWS is a great way to inform Microsoft about their tool so that they will improve for better usage.” Announcing our October Early Warning Signal (EWS) Apprentice (Part 1 of 2)Hello SEA MVPs,
It’s not every day that records are broken. Just when we thought we had achieved our highest number with 14 EWSes submitted in September, our EWS Apprentices had achieved another milestone, producing yet another record-breaking 24 EWSes this month! SEA MVPs had stood out above the rest!
Many may be asking ‘How did we manage to achieve this? What is our winning formula?’ Well, the answer is simple. We believed that each and every SEA MVP can make a difference to make our team of EWS Apprentices better. Each EWS submitted by our EWS Apprentices counts in helping Microsoft to identify key problems, discussions, or trends stirring within the community of which we may not be aware of.
A big ‘THANK YOU’ to 12 of our SEA MVPs this month for making this difference! Thank you for doing your part and making us shine. Another noteworthy accomplishment was that we had an astounding number of new EWS contenders this month – a total of 9 new EWS contenders! Never did we have so many new EWS contenders in a single month. Here are these new warriors - Ridi Ferdiana, Elczar Pelarta Adame, Wei Min Chan, Michael Sync, Pom Figueroa, Vincent Maverick Durano, PPG Dinesh Asanka, John Patrick Oliveros and Sainath Sathya. And not to forget to mention our long-time EWS apprentices Ming Man Chan, Jeffery Tay and Chandana Nilanka Athauda.
So, as we basked in the glory and enjoyed the limelight, don’t let complacency seeps in. Keep the good works in effect, because you all are definitely making a difference. Step up to this challenge and join our record-breaking SEA MVPs in the month of November and submit your ‘first’ or ‘next’ EWS if you have not done so!
